The upper portion of the light itself is heavy-duty brass, while the lower portion is rich copper and has a beehive ridged finish. These lights are super heavy duty. These lights are perfect for the saltwater environment and are able to withstand the harsh outdoor environments, as well as, open air indoor environments.
